Following a root canal process, you may experience a little soreness. Don’t worry: this is normal. We’ve amassed the following data to help you as you adjust during this recovery phase. Please tell us about it if you have any further queries about recuperation after a root canal treatment.
After a root canal treatment, your tooth and the surrounding soft tissue and bone patches of the oral cavity might be sensitive for a couple of days. If the discomfort lasts longer than half of a week, get in contact with us. Our dentist will work with you in hopes of relieving any discomfort, and this may include prescribing antibiotics or painkillers. During a follow-up visit, if an impermanent filling was placed, the dentist will remove the temporary filling and replace it with a permanent one. This regular filling or crown will seal the tooth to defend it from further damage. A metal or plastic post may also be seated to help a crown if necessary.
We would like to see you in our office so we may examine your teeth and answer any questions you may have about root canal procedure options. Please call 408-378-2890 to talk to the San Tomas Signature Smiles office in Campbell, California, and set up a checkup with Dr. Ramin Moradi today!
